Thanks in large part to Judie VanBramer's efforts, yesterday evening the Board of Cooperative Educational Services Special Education Parent Teacher Organization ("BOCES SEPTO") held its First Annual Bingo Night for its students and families.   Approximately 140 students, siblings and parents attended the event.

The event was completely free to students, siblings and parents.  Every child selected a book to take as a gift, at least one hundred prizes [gift cards, toys, books, sports items] were awarded to BINGO winners, and there was pizza, cookies and water and soft drinks for all.

The chair of BOCES SEPTO, Sarah Davis, did a great job of organizing the event.

About half of the BINGO games used the traditional letter/number format and  about half used objects (e.g., animals, foods)

Greece Rotary provided ten volunteers for the event that helped serve food, beverages, distribute books, crafts, prizes and verify winning BINGO boards.  Gene Noga did a great job calling numbers!

Greece Rotary provided ten volunteers for the event that helped serve food, beverages, distribute books, crafts, prizes and verify winning BINGO boards.  Gene Noga did a great job of calling numbers and objects for over an hour (even ad libbing at times :-); Rita and Dave Garretson served pizza; Tammi Bansbach served cookies; Deborah Whitt served both pizza and cookies; Tracy Wooden supervised the book table; Judie helped raise $130 from the sale of donated crafts; and Jim and Debbie Gaudet had the pleasant "task" of helping kids with winning boards pick a prize.
Our Club contributed $600 for pizza, beverages and prizes.  Judie arranged with her daughter to donate books (lots of books).
