The Greece Rotary Rino Pappano Golf Tournament honors the remarkable legacy of Rino Pappano, a devoted Greece Rotarian for more than 60 years. What began as his vision has grown into a cherished community tradition that continues to change lives.

Proceeds from the tournament directly support two meaningful causes: the Greece Little League Challenger Division, providing inclusive opportunities for athletes with disabilities, and the Greece Rotary Foundation, which fuels service projects that strengthen our community year‑round.

This tournament isn’t just a day on the course — it’s a celebration of service, inclusion, and the enduring impact of one Rotarian’s dedication.

The Challenger Division provides children with special needs the opportunity to enjoy Little League in a supportive, ability-appropriate environment—offering therapeutic, social, and self-esteem benefits. We’re proud to celebrate 30 years of supporting this impactful program!

This year, the Greece Rotary Foundation completed several meaningful projects:

  • Pre-K Language Development Project: Our literacy committee created “learning kits” with books to support children struggling with early reading and language skills.

  • Villa of Hope Sanctuary Garden: We raised funds (matched by Rotary District 7120) to enhance the garden with benches, a picnic table, and greenery—creating a peaceful space for healing.

  • Greece First Responders Memorial: We honored the service and sacrifice of first responders and civilians, including those from 9/11, and showcased the history of the North Greece Fire Department.
