GRE is described as the concierge to the region, providing critical and confidential information and connectivity to key business partners to support growth. Leah works tirelessly to implement continuous process improvements and to successfully guide companies through the economic development process. Leah was directly involved in the attraction of Coca-Cola fairlife, Edwards, Toyota Material Handling North America, and UltraPhil, and the expansion of Barilla, QED Technologies, EvolvOptic, Vuzix Corp., Corning, Zweigles, Oxbo International, Carestream Health, Pactiv Corporation, Durst Image Technology US, ITX Corp., and many other companies. Leah serves on the Board of Directors of the New York Wine & Grape Foundation and St. John Fisher’s School of Business Dean’s Advisory Council. She is a recipient of the New York State Economic Development Council’s (NYSEDC) Linda J. Hill Women’s Leadership Award, the Rochester Business Journal’s Women of Excellence, and 40 Under 40 awards, and St. John Fisher’s ‘Victor E. Salerno Award for American Enterprise’ and Excellence in Management. Prior to joining GRE, Leah spent more than a decade as a broadcast journalist. Leah graduated from SUNY Geneseo with a B.A. in communications, public relations and business and earned an M.B.A. from St. John Fisher College.	View

Under his leadership, Bello oversaw the distribution of millions of COVID tests and pieces of personal protective equipment to contain the virus, while deploying mass vaccination sites for hundreds of thousands of residents. He also took a leadership role in keeping our schools open with proper safety protocols in place. Bello helped support small businesses that struggled through the pandemic by providing much needed relief in the form of grants and loans. With healthcare system leaders, he convened a community effort to ensure stabilization of local hospitals through multiple restrictions and healthcare worker shortages. Bello also made good on his promise to address the opioid epidemic by appointing the county’s first Director of Addiction Services, and launching the eight-member program known as the Monroe County Improving Addiction Coordination Team, or IMPACT. The team has already responded to hundreds of calls for help, connecting people suffering from addiction with life-saving resources. Now, Bello is looking to lead Monroe County past the pandemic and into recovery – focusing on public safety, public health, economic development and infrastructure. Recent initiatives led by County Executive Adam Bello include Monroe County's "Wired for Opportunity" digital literacy initiative through the Monroe County Library System, expansion of community access to education and workforce training resources, and the launch of a countywide Youth Services Directory connecting families to educational and enrichment opportunities. His work emphasizes collaboration, youth development, workforce readiness, and equitable access to learning opportunities across Monroe County. A resident of Greece since elementary school, Jeff’s career in public service has focused on improving the quality of life for the people he serves, whether at the town, County or State level. A graduate of Greece Olympia High School and Buffalo State University, Jeff also holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from SUNY Brockport. Some of his major professional accomplishments include the Town’s purchase of Kodak land to increase development opportunities and keep taxes stable, the addition of 50 Deputy positions to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, and the consistent upgrading of the County’s credit ratings due to strong financial management. Jeff understands that Greece residents want a government they can be proud of. That’s why he’s committed to providing efficient town services, improving public safety, and demonstrating fiscal accountability and governmental transparency. The program focuses on ensuring every student has the opportunity to build on their strengths, develop professional skills, and graduate with a clear pathway toward college, employment, military service, apprenticeships, or skilled trades. The program emphasizes the development of confident, responsible young adults who understand the importance of professionalism, leadership, and lifelong learning. Students gain hands-on experience through career exploration, workplace opportunities, and community-based learning that build both technical and interpersonal skills needed in today’s workforce. Beginning in the 2026–2027 school year, the program will launch a student-run Marketing Department offering practical experience in photography, graphic design, digital marketing, journalism, branding, and communications. Students will document events, create promotional materials, manage digital content, and build professional portfolios to showcase their work. College and Career Readiness instruction provides students with foundational employability skills, including resume development, interviewing, communication, teamwork, workplace ethics, and financial literacy. These skills are reinforced through mock interviews, career portfolios, and direct engagement with professionals from a wide range of fields. Students who are ready may advance into an Applied Transition Class, where the focus shifts to real-world application through internships, paid work experiences, mentoring, and leadership opportunities. This stage also includes instruction in independent living skills, budgeting, transportation, and long-term career planning. Career exploration is a core component of the program, with students exposed to professionals across industries such as skilled trades, healthcare, law enforcement, education, business, and public service. These experiences help broaden awareness of career pathways while reinforcing that all careers hold value. Leadership development is embedded throughout, including participation in the Leading in Crisis Leadership Academy, where students practice decision-making, collaboration, and communication in high-pressure scenarios. The program also connects students to community resources and workforce development supports, including ACCES-VR and the Rochester Construction Training Center, to expand access to internships, training, and career pathways. Overall, the Villa of Hope Work-Based Learning and Community Development Program provides students with the skills, experiences, and support needed to transition successfully into adulthood while contributing meaningfully to their communities and future workplaces.
