In early October, members of the Rotary Club of Greece attended English Village Elementary School’s (EV) celebration of Hispanic Heritage month. EV is a K-2 school transitioning to offering bilingual programming. The Club’s Literacy Committee donated 22 copies of the bilingual book “Dos ~ Two” – one for each classroom and the school’s library.
The author, Henry Padrón, led the assembly which included discussion of the book and a sampling of Hispanic music. The children were joined by members of their families, leaders of Greece Central School District (GCSD), and members of the GCSD Board of Education.
