What an incredible turnout for this week’s Greece Rotary meeting!
We were honored to welcome the Greece Central School District Community Schools team as they shared how the Monroe County Community Schools Coalition is connecting students and families with resources, removing barriers, and creating opportunities for students and families to thrive.
A special thank you to Mike Sofia and Rita Garretson for introducing this opportunity to Greece Rotary and helping build such a meaningful partnership.
Our members were excited to learn more about the Community Schools initiative and how Greece Rotary’s support is making a difference right here in our community.
Rotary’s mission of Service Above Self comes to life through partnerships like these. This year’s Rotary message, Create Lasting Impact, reminds us that when we invest in our schools, students, and community, we help build a stronger future for everyone.
Kayleigh Cuer and Kelly Sperduto walked us through what Community Schools looks like in practice - how it connects families to resources and helps remove barriers so students can thrive.
We also had Odalys Pozo with us as she steps into supervision of the Community Cares Initiative and continues the important work already underway.
