Greece Rotary Rino Pappano Memorial Golf Tournament
The Rino Pappano Memorial Golf Tournament hosted by the Rotary Club of Greece took place on Monday, July 29, 2024 at the Ridgemont Country Club. The event was a resounding success, thanks to the participation of golfers, volunteers, donors, hole sponsors, and our major sponsors. The proceeds from the tournament benefit both the Greece Little Leagues Challenger Division and the Greece Rotary Foundation. Quote from long time Rotarian Don Riley, "I golf in lots of charity tournaments and there is none better!!!!"

An addition to the familyLast meeting we had the privilege of hosting our District Governor, Linda Kohl. Linda shared with the club her vision for the current year. Additionally, Linda got to help welcome the newest member of our club as we inducted Steve Nash. Steve is a great addition to the club bringing a career's worth of experience in the Greece School District. Welcome Steve!     |
Rotarian and Community Persons of the YearThe 2020-21 year kicked off with presenting awards for the 2019-2020 year. Bill Sauers, President of the Greece Historical Society and Museum, was name Greece Rotary's Community Person of the Year. Brenda Herman was presented the award for Rotarian of the Year. Congratulations to both individuals, and thank you both for the great work that you do in our community.

7/1/2020 Begins a New Rotary Year -President Melissa Jordan holds a Getting Reacquainted Hybrid Meeting in Person and VirtuallyPresident Melissa Jordan had encouraging words for Greece Rotary. Club and District Leadership were in attendance: 2020-2021 Greece Rotary Club President Melissa Jordan, District Governor Linda Kohl and Assistant Governor Area 9 Chuck Gannon. Our first hybrid (in-person and virtual) meeting was successful, even more accommodations are planned for the near future    |

School Supply DriveThe Greece Rotary supports the annual School Supplies Drive! All supplies are donated to the Greece Ecumenical Clothing Closet and other local organizations to help students and families in need!! Greece Rotary Weekly Food Drive
collecting primarily cereal, canned fruit, and boxed pasta. In addition, past opportunities to serve Rohrbach's at Red Wings games allowed the Club to donate $2,000 to the Greece Ecumenical food shelf. The food shelf was extraordinarily appreciative. There is a need in our community and the power Rotarians have to help!
